Katya.pngKatya joined the book project in 2013 and has played an important role in providing input to this book from an English business and legal perspective as well as helping to describe important aspects in Swedish law that differ from the UK and helped provide insight on legal comparisons between Sweden and the US and continental Europe.

Katya moved to Sweden temporarily in 2013 with her husband, who was working for a well-respected software consultancy in Stockholm at the time. There she met Don Baldwin and collaborated with him and his team on the book. Katya now lives in Kent, England, where she works from home as a consultant solicitor for Dixcart Legal Ltd, doing a range of commercial and employment law work, as well as writing legal articles. She also helps her husband run his own software consulting company and her own mentoring business part-time around her young family.

Katya is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Katya has a Bachelor of Laws with honors from the University of Sussex (Brighton), and completed her professional qualifications at the University of the West of England (Bristol). She has worked advising private sector clients on all aspects of business law as a corporate lawyer, as well as having spent a short time working for the UK government's Serious Fraud Office.
